Bugaboo Birthday Bash

Good Morning Bloggers and Crafters! Today is the start of Bugaboo's Birthday bash at Catch The Bug! Arent you excited?! I know you are - and so am I - But, guess what, there's even more fun to add to it - Because this year, Birthday bash has a theme! Whoo Hoo! Our theme for this year's Birthday Bash is "Under the Sea!" Such an awesome theme! There are prizes to be won, too - LOTS of prizes, if you play along in our daily challenges! Every day this week, there is a different birthday challenge.  Be sure you come and play along with us, for your chances to win!

Today is the first day of our Under The Sea Birthday Bash and we are starting it off with an easy one - Any birthday card, with an Under The Sea theme.

My card, for the Under The Sea Birthday Bash kickoff, is a fun one.  I used a retired mermaid image from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers.  For my card layout, I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I decided to dig through my stash and found the perfect fishy paper for the Under The Sea theme, don't you think?! I paired the paper from my stash with this new polka dot paper, to create a fun pattern combination. The little pennants were hand cut (I'm getting better at that, I think! LOL!) The sentiment is computer generated. Someone very near and dear to me is battling Colon cancer with metastasis. The awareness ribbon for Colon Cancer is Navy, so I've used lots of Navy in this card, for my friend's birthday, to remind my friend that there is so much left to fight for.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

You're A Fighter

It's Freebie Friday   at Bugaboo Stamps! Whoo Hoo!  What is this week's Freebie, you ask? It's a really fun one, this week! This week's friday Freebie is AKV Boxing - Punch.  The perfect image for a card for the fighter in your life. (Any kind of fight works!)

To see lots of creations using this fun image,  check out the Freebie Friday post at Catch The Bug!

My card, today, uses the Freebie Friday, image, AKV Boxing - Punch, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. My card layout uses the sketch, below, from Sketch Saturday.

I made this card for someone very special to me, who is battling cancer, for the second time.  Even with this being the second round, the fighting spirit is there and he never gives up! I'm sure it is hard to stay positive, so I figure a little handmade card of encouragement now and then is a great way to show how proud I am of him, for keeping positive through this battle.

It's a Pirate Teddy!

It's new release Tuesday, at Catch The Bug! Are you ready for adorable! Check out the new release, Pirate Bear, that I have to show you! Don't you just love him!  For more creative goodness featuring this adorable little guy, check out New Release Tuesday at Catch The Bug!

Oh, Oh, and if you just can't resist snatching this cuteness up for yourself, he is available for purchase in the Bugaboo Stamps, store! Get him for your very own! You know you want to!

My card uses the new release image, Pirate bear, from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. All papers are from my stash.  I wanted to be different, so I stayed away from "Pirate" type colors or fall colors - And this is what I came up with. (Not bad from working from my stash of scraps!) I love how the houndstooth patterns and the strips go together, with those polka dots between them, for contrast. This is a clean and simple card, designed for the guys, so no frills or embellishments, just clean and simple!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
